WhiskeyTalk is a 4 piece out of Cape Ann, MA featuring Carl Gasowski, Jim Kuhns, Paul Howard, and Doug Turnbull.  All veterans of Boston area bands, each brings his own unique musical baggage along on a somewhat meandering and genre-bending cross country drive that picks up dialects and hitchhikers from Rock and Roll, Country, Americana, Bluegrass, Irish, Punk, Maritime, and others.

Like any good road trip snack, we are a blend of sweet and salty, with sober Sunday morning harmonies following debauched Saturday night howls and hollers.  Though any band fronted by two songwriting dudes on acoustic guitars is sure to raise the eyebrows of anyone who likes to stay awake, we take pride in putting groove far enough forward to stir the innards of even the very most caucasian.  The rhythm section stays true to their rock and roll roots and if you find your foot stops tapping, your head stops bobbing or your hips stop moving, find the nearest defibrillator.  As proud as we are to share original tunes, we are empowered to take liberties with covers, stripping them down to their essence and building them back as we see fit.  If you want Free Bird played note for note, turn on Spotify and stay at home.  If you want to see caring musicians take creative liberties with songs they love and respect, you’ll hear it at a WhiskeyTalk gig.
