Mark in the Clouds – 128th Boston Marathon

For this year’s batch of Walk In The Clouds, we are helping a member of The Rhino Run Club fundraise for The 128th Boston Marathon. Mark Ambrefe joined the Rhinos over 2 years ago and instantly fell in love with running. @ambreferific also fell in love with our Walk In The Clouds Double NE IPA! So to help Mark fundraise for The Doug Flutie Foundation and raise awareness for autism acceptance we named this batch “Mark In The Clouds”! $2 per 4pk sold will go directly to the Doug Flutie Jr. foundation. Go Mark!

Tumbler Club 2023

We have a bunch of great things coming your way in 2023, but we are most excited to
introduce our new Tumbler Club! If you have heard of a mug club before, it’s pretty much the
same thing except members will use a 20 oz Hydroflask Tumbler instead of a 20 oz mug. So how
does it all work and are what are the details? We are glad you asked!

Starting today we are accepting orders for a Tumbler Club membership for the 2023 calendar year.
Membership cost is $200 and space is limited. Please note that we will be going on a first come
first serve basis and once we have reached capacity, ordering will be shut off. The perks of having
a mug club membership are as follows:

  • 20 oz pours for 16 oz price in the taproom (all year)
  • Full case purchase 20% off (all year)
  • 4 pk Purchases 10% off (all year)
  • Crowlers 10% off (all year)
  • All merch 10% off (all year)
  • Invite to exclusive Tumbler Club Private Event (once a year)
  • One Birthday beer on the house (once a year)
  • Access to Tumbler Club renewal before open to the public
  • Bring home a Tumbler at the end of the calendar year

Q. How will bar tenders know I’m a Tumbler club member?
A. We are sure we’ll get to know all of you due to the limited number of spots, but make sure to

A. No problem. Email [email protected] and we’ll get back to you with an answer

OPBC Taproom re-opening April 9th

Blue skies are ahead! One year ago today we announced that we were closing the taproom for inside drinking and today we’d like to announce our plan for re-opening! 😁  yay!

Starting on April 9th, we will be opening the inside of the taproom for beers, food, and music. Things will look a little different with distanced tables and all the regulations that still apply, but boy are we excited to share our space with you again! For our first weekend back at it we will be joined by our friends at Chicken and Rice Guys and Just Wingin’ It Boston!! We’ll leave it at that for now, but we can’t wait to share more details with you over the coming weeks!

Last but not least, thanks for hanging in there with us over the past year, your support has meant the world to us. Now let’s take one step closer to normalcy, we can’t wait to see you soon!

232 Rantoul – Our New Space

The basement brewery was a way to establish ourselves as a brewery that puts out a good product, but we have always wanted to have a space people could come visit. Unfortunately that was never an option in our small brewery.

As of October 3rd, Old Planters are the tenants of the former McNeil’s Auto Body at 232 Rantoul St in Beverly, MA.

McNeil’s has been servicing the North Shore for the past five decades and we feel lucky we found a spot that meets our needs for accommodating both a 10bbl brewery and retail taproom.

We now have to demo a few concrete walls, dig some trench drains and have to get these new digs ready to be the future home of Old Planters Brewing Co.
